For this purpose Suprayas Foundation joined hands with Times Applaud to offer Women Iconza 2022 award to celebrate the brilliance and efficiency of women who lead, inspire, and motivate greatness in multiple fields.
The glittering award ceremony was held on March 3, 2022, at MG Motor India, Mumbai, to honor “Women who breaks The Bias” It also aimed to recognize the accomplishments of the region’s significant women business leaders, trailblazers, and emerging stars in a wide range of fields. Many leading personalities from all walks of life – social, political, corporate and entertainment –were present at the ceremony.
Suprayas Foundation is a non-governmental organization that is focused on serving the One Almighty God through the service of humanity. Mrs. Summan R. Agrawal, who serves as President of Suprayas Foundation, cares for the welfare of the downtrodden and consistently works to help them live better and happier lives.
Social work runs in Mrs. Summan’s blood as her grandfather, Mr. Hukumchand Bansal, was involved in India’s fight for freedom. She has been a key part of Acid Survivors Foundation India Ltd, and has been working since almost 12 years for acid attack victims.
Born on 2nd July, 1969, Mrs. Summan is married to Mr. R. P. Agrawal. She completed her B.Sc. (Chemistry) from Mumbai University.
Mrs. Summan has been serving as AICC Delegate since 2018; General Secretary of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee since 2016; Secretary of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee since 2011; and Secretary Maharashtra Pradesh Mahila Congress since 2008.
Apart from being the President of Suprayas Foundation, Mrs. Summan also plays a key role in several other organizations. She has been serving as National Secretary of Akhil Bhartiya Agrawal Sammelan; President of Marvaris in Thane (Welfare); Member of Lions Club of Thane since 15 years; and Member of Acid Survivors Foundation India Ltd.
Mrs. Summan has also been involved in several programs for the betterment of society. She has actively worked for amendment of laws for Acid Attack Victims, and was instrumental in the formation of new IPC section 326(A) & 326 (B). Mrs Summan has also arranged free Plastic Surgery for such victims. Her efforts and follow-up with law ministers, members of parliaments, and MLAs resulted in the creation of new IPC Sections 326(A) and 326(B). She has also been: Involved in the Enlightment & Awareness programme for the masses about Human Rights & Social Justice; Raising Voice for the deprived by approaching government & media; Organizing “Rajasthan Mahotsav” every year to unite all Rajasthanis under one roof. Approx 60,000 people attend & appreciate the efforts; Helping the traders & industrialists of Maharashtra by raising their issues.
On the occasion of Women’s Day it is noteworthy that Mrs. Summan has been actively involved in the cause of women’s empowerment. She has been organizing workshops on Women Empowerment to enlighten the women regarding their rights & duties.
