HOW ZARA GOT ITS NAME?
In 1975, AMANCIO ORTEGA started business store in north western Spain.
He kept the store name Zorba after watching film Zorba The Greek.

Zorba The Greek was popular movie at that time, and thats why a bar of same name started near their store.
The Bar owner came to Ortega's shop and expressed his concern about 2 Zorba's shop of same name in the town.
But, Ortega already made the molds for the letters in signs.
So Ortega come up with an idea to rearrange the letters and he got up with a new name Zara.
And thus, Ortega got Zara name and it becames a very popular fashion brand in town.
