Cardamom, along with being a multi-purpose spice used in curries, breads, rice and liquid preparations, also brings with it many health benefits.

In Ayurveda, Ela masi is a preparation which comes under Bhasm Kalpana (ash formation).

This is very helpful in nausea, vomiting, gastritis, acid reflux, bloating and stomach ache

In this, cardamom is placed in a utensil over lower flame and covered with a lid till it becomes black, then after you can crush it in Mortar pastel and make it a fine powder.
