The damp and humid weather during the monsoon season can increase the problem of body odour. It can often land you in embarrassing situations.
After showering, run a cube of alum in water and pour it all over your body. It will keep the skin clean and reduce the presence of odour-causing bacteria.
ALUM WATER BATH
Apply a thin layer of baking soda and coconut oil to your underarms. Baking soda will absorb moisture and neutralise odours.
USE BAKING SODA
Lemon juice has natural antibacterial properties and can help control body odour. Dilute freshly squeezed lemon juice with water to avoid irritation.
LEMON JUICE
Apple cider vinegar can balance the skin's pH and get rid of odour-causing bacteria. It is advisable to dilute it before using it on the underarms.
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
Tea tree oil has antibacterial properties that can remove the bacteria responsible for body odour. However, tree tea oil shouldn't be applied directly to the skin.
TEA TREE OIL
Brew some neem leaves in hot water. Let it cool, and use it as a natural deodorant by applying it to your underarms. You can also add a few drops of lemon juice to the mixture.
NEEM TONER
Green tea contains tannic acid, which controls sweating and reduces the activity of sweat glands. Drinking green tea can also help in reducing body odour.
