New Dzire vs Old Dzire: 5 Key Differences

The old Dzire had a 1.2L 4-cylinder K-Series engine (89.7PS, 113Nm), while the new Dzire features a 1.2L 3-cylinder Z12E engine (81.58PS, 111.7Nm), with the same 5-speed MT and AMT transmission options.

All New Engine

The previous model of the Dzire had a claimed mileage of 23.26 kmpl for the manual transmission (MT) and 24.12 kmpl for the automated manual transmission (AMT). The new Dzire offers improved fuel efficiency, with a mileage of 24.79 kmpl for MT and 25.71 kmpl for AMT.

Enhanced Fuel Efficiency

The old Dzire received 2 stars for adult safety and 2 stars for child safety in Global NCAP tests, while the new Dzire earned 5 stars for adult safety and 4 stars for child safety.

Excellent Safety

The previous model of the Dzire was priced between Rs 6.56 lakh and Rs 9.39 lakh (ex-showroom), while the new Dzire starts at Rs 6.79 lakh and goes up to Rs 10.14 lakh (ex-showroom).

Price Hike

Unlike the previous Dzire, which had a taxi version known as the Tour S, Maruti Suzuki will not be offering the new Dzire for commercial use.
