Customer care scam

Scammers create fake helpline numbers for banks, travel agencies, and online deliveries.

When people call these numbers, scammers trick them into downloading an app or following their instructions, which helps scammers steal the victims' money.

KYC Scam

Scammers impersonating banks, e-wallets, or telecom providers make phone calls or send messages to deceive customers into disclosing confidential information.

They send messages on WhatsApp or SMS with a link. Once the link is clicked, scammers manage to steal the victim's sensitive information and debit money.

Electricity bill scam

Fraudsters pose as electricity company officials and call or send SMS to inform the victim of a pending bill or warn them about the discontinuation of electricity.

The victim is then instructed to download an app to pay the bill, which gives the scammer access to their bank account details.

Bank SMS scam

Similar to the KYC or electricity bill scam, scammers send SMS regarding the closure of a bank account.

Work from home scam
