Nikhil Chaudhary organizes OXYHOME environment project to make life in Ambernath healthier

0

Actor and entrepreneur, Nikhil Chaudhary, has just organized an environment project, called OXYHOME, to make life in the city of Ambernath healthier.

As the population grows or more and more villagers migrate to cities, urbanization is on the rise. Because of this, environmental pollution has increased at an alarming rate, causing issues such as pollution and global warming. Pollution has in fact become a major concern in every part of India, due to the increase in urbanization. This has made obtaining pure oxygen a challenging task in these difficult times of the Covid-19 pandemic when people need it the most.

Nikhil Chaudhary has hence brought India’s first *OXYZONE* project to the city of Ambernath for the first time. Under the project, a large number of oxygen-producing plants will be made available to people who want to enjoy better health by generating oxygen in their own homes.

Oxygen is a life-supporting component of the air that can help save the lives of many COVID-19 patients. However, it became increasingly difficult for people to work and live in villages because of a lack or shortage of oxygen. Hence, these people were forced to bid goodbye to their village during the Covid-19 period to obtain oxygen.

Even after two years rather than getting eliminated, Covid-19 is spreading once more in Mumbai and other urban areas of India, as new variants of the dreadful disease keep coming. And the fight against the pandemic continues.

This gives rise to the question: Can we create oxygen in our own homes?

To answer this question, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has recommended a long list of plants with which you can not only decorate your homes but also enjoy better health as they produce a large amount of oxygen. To generate oxygen in our own homes, NASA has also approved ornamental plants that could be planted in a cistern or water storage container and placed in your living room.

Nikhil Chaudhary understands the need to generate oxygen in our homes, especially in these times of Covid-19. He has hence launched a key project, called OXYHOME, under which a large number of oxygen-producing plants will be made available. The strategy will be implemented not only in the homes, but also in OXYHOME, OXYZONE, OXYSTREET, OXYTEMPLE, OXYSHOP, and OXYSCHOOL

Nikhil has brought this project to Ambernath under the guidance of Honorable MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde, MLA Dr. Balaji Kinikar, Ex Mayor Sunil Chaudhary, Gunwant Kherodia, and Shashikala Dorgude.

It is noteworthy that Nikhil Chaudhary started carrying out this noble work in Ambernath at his own expense on the occasion of his birthday. Nikhil is indeed worthy of special appreciation as he is celebrating his birthday with his family by launching this project rather than throwing an extravagant party on the day he was born. Similarly, a two-storey building hostel for orphan girls was inaugurated two years ago on the special occasion of the birthday of Nikhil’s father, Sunil Chaudhary. In fact, the Chaudhary family has been carrying out various activities for the betterment of society. The family has hence been appreciated by people at all levels.

By organizing the OXYHOME project at Shivdham Complex Shiva Temple on Sunday, May 15, 2022, for Ambernath’s healthy lifestyle, Nikhil Chaudhary has only expanded his family’s philanthropic efforts.

The project will help the residents enjoy healthier lives in Ambernath, which is a spot of attraction for tourists due to its temple and a river.

Nikhil Chaudhary is an accomplished actor, who has earlier worked as a producer for the Hindi film ‘Sub Kushal Mangal” under the guidance of Producer Prachi Manmohan. Nikhil is also the Founder and President of Rotaract Club of Ambarnath East, and Rotary Club of Royal Ambernath. He also serves as Managing Director of SCGK Buildtech Pvt. Ltd.

Deepika Ravi built startup to sell beauty products made from superfood

0

A Tamil Nadu woman built a startup to sell value-added moringa beauty products and edibles.  Here’s the amazing story behind Deepika Ravi’s business, called The Good Leaf.

Deepika Ravi, who was born and raised in Karur, Tamil Nadu, has experienced the difficulties and tribulations of farmers in her community who did not have adequate markets to sell their goods.

Deepika says, “My father used to talk about taking an agricultural commodity and turning it into a value-added product.”

She wanted to establish a business after finishing her education based on her father’s notion of giving value to any agricultural product. Her enterprise, The Good Leaf, now makes crores of rupees while assisting hundreds of farmers.

The drumstick tree, also known as the Good Leaf Moringa, is said to be a nutritional storehouse. It is the most sought-after superfood in the world and an important element of Indian diets. They are high in nutrients like as iron, calcium, zinc, phosphorus, and others.

The Good Leaf, founded in 2018 with her father, Ravi Velusami, is an endeavor to offer the richness of Moringa through value-added products while also assisting struggling farmers.

Deepika says, “Currently, there are over 200 farmers that supply us with their produce.”

In contrast to market fluctuations, all of these farmers get paid a fair price for their goods. Market pricing might range from Rs 5 to Rs 100 per kilogram, but we supply them with a consistent price throughout the year that is determined by the kind that they plant.

She says, “We acquire organic Moringa from farmers not only in Karur, but also in Dindigul, Theni, Velur, and other regions.”

Deepika plants Moringa on a few acres of land owned by her family in Karur, in addition to sourcing from farmers.

Starting with two items — Moringa powder and Moringa pods powder — The Good Leaf today provides a diverse selection of goods ranging from Moringa capsules to Moringa face packs, with prices ranging from Rs 250 to Rs 490.

Deepika continues, “A year before we formally launched the company, we started it in 2017 with just two edible goods.

After much study and hard effort, we ultimately produced a few additional culinary goods such as Moringa rice mix, chutney powder, Moringa tea, Moringa capsules, and so on. We now have a revenue in crores.”

Aside from food goods, the company also sells haircare and skincare products infused with Moringa.

“We expanded our business into beauty care items in 2019.”

Moringa brightening serum, Moringa face pack, Moringa face scrub, and Moringa soap are now available as skincare items.

“There are also a few hair care products, such as Moringa hair oil and Moringa hair serum,” Deepika says.

When asked about the best-selling items, she responds, “The Moringa capsules, a daily supplement containing all the health of Moringa, and the Moringa herbal tea, a combination of tulsi, Moringa, and ginger, are the two most popular edible goods. Moringa face serum, Moringa hair serum, and Moringa oils are among the most popular beauty products.”

The Good Leaf has a modest production operation in Karur with about ten employees.

Deepika’s father, Ravi, who is also a co-founder of The Good Leaf, oversees manufacturing, while her mother oversees operations.

She says, “Our company is handled by devoted and passionate women. At The Good Leaf, I am in charge of sales, marketing, and product development. My father and mother are always there to encourage and assist me. This is a family business. We sell our items on our website and promote them on various social media channels. This year, we have a few additional items planned, such as Moringa face cream and Moringa face wash, and we hope that our brand will reach more people.”

Swiggy announces $200M deal to buy Times Internet’s dining out biz

0

Swiggy has announced a deal with Times Internet to buy Dineout, a table booking company. The plan is to reach out those who go out to eat

As it looks to reach out those who like dining out, Bengaluru-based Swiggy announced on Friday that it had achieved a formal agreement with Indian giant Times Internet. Under the $200 million deal, Swiggy will buy Dineout, a prominent eating out and restaurant software platform.

The financial specifics of the acquisition were not disclosed, but a person familiar with the subject told the media that the agreement values Dineout at $200 million and is an all-equity transaction.

According to the two companies, Dineout’s four founders — Ankit Mehrotra, Nikhil Bakshi, Sahil Jain, and Vivek Kapoor — will join Swiggy following the purchase, and the platform will continue to function as an independent app.

Swiggy will be able to join the dining-out sector with the purchase, a segment in which its main rival, Zomato, has been active for some years and was the primary differentiating element for the publicly traded firm, whose market valuation has recently dipped to about $5 billion. Swiggy, which was reportedly valued at $10.7 billion, recently acquired a stake in Rapido, a bike and taxi network, and funded restaurant management platform UrbanPiper with Zomato.

Swiggy co-founder and CEO Sriharsha Majety said, “Dineout is a well-known brand with strong support from both customers and restaurants. Through its products, technology, and wide range of restaurant partners, Times Internet and the founding team should be recognized for the significant impact they have had on the dining out experience. Swiggy will be able to investigate synergies and create new experiences in a high-use category as a result of the purchase.”

Dineout was created in 2012 and was bought two years later by Times Internet, which has subsequently invested around $50 million in the firm.

Satyan Gajwani, Vice Chairman of Times Internet, stated, “We are happy of the good impact Dineout has had on customers and businesses by streamlining and improving the dining experience. Swiggy + Dineout is a strong combination, and we are pleased to collaborate with Swiggy as we seek for new ways to delight consumers.”

Dineout offers a network of over 50,000 restaurant partners in the country and is best known for its eating out table bookings and events service. The company generates revenue by offering yearly memberships to restaurants and consumers, as well as through its billing payments system.

Inspiring story of OYO Rooms founder Ritesh Agarwal who once sold SIM cards

0

OYO Rooms offers travelers throughout the world inexpensive and excellent hotel rooms. But, did you that its founder Ritesh Agarwal once sold SIM cards.

OYO Rooms provides travelers all around the world with low-cost, high-quality hotel rooms. But did you know that its creator, Ritesh Agarwal (worth over $600 million), used to sell SIM cards?

Ritesh Agarwal founded OYO Rooms, which debuted in May 2013. Ritesh Agarwal is the world’s second youngest self-made billionaire, behind Kylie Jenner. OYO is an acronym that stands for “On Your Own.” He started when he was 20 years old with the goal of making it easier for people to locate inexpensive hotel rooms.

OYO is currently an international Indian online travel agency. It is present in over 80 countries worldwide, including India, Malaysia, China, Brazil, UAE, Mexico, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Vietnam, the United States, and many others.

Ritesh was born and raised by a Marwari family in Titilagarh, India. His family had a small business in the nearby city of Rayagada, where he attended Sacred Heart School. He then finished his secondary school at St. John’s Senior Secondary School. He moved to Delhi for his degree in 2011, but dropped out when he was chosen for the Thiel Fellowship.

Ritesh used to sell SIM cards when he was 13 years old, which is a little-known fact about him.

He traveled to Kota after finishing school to take the Joint Entrance Exam. There, he liked going to various locations with his buddies. He authored a book at the time called A Complete Encyclopedia of the Top 100 Engineering Colleges. Ritesh was 16 years old when he was chosen for the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Asian Science Camp in Mumbai.

Ritesh began his studies at Indian Business School at the University of London. He was driven by a tremendous ambition to become an entrepreneur.

Ritesh was eager to learn about startups and business concepts. He used to travel to numerous business meetings and stay in hotels based on his budget. That’s when the thought occurred to him.

He was drawn to Airbnb, a San Francisco-based online marketplace and accommodation business. Ritesh founded Oravel Stays, an online cheap accommodation booking service, when he was 17 years old. This concept was approved into Venture Nursery’s accelerator program in 2012. Agarwal was one of the Thiel Fellowship Program’s 2013 recipients, receiving a $100,000 stipend.

In May 2013, it debuted as “OYO Rooms.” In a short period of time, OYO became the largest network of low-cost hotels.

OYO has over 72,000 rooms in 8000 hotels across India, with locations in over 250 cities. OYO Rooms’ current net worth exceeds $600 million.

OYO offers travellers economical and fantastic hotel accommodations. It raised $1 billion in 2018, and by July of this year, Ritesh had quadrupled his company’s position by acquiring $2 billion in shares. Agarwal’s net worth was Rs. 7235 crores in 2020.

Much is unknown about his family members because they are kept confidential. Ritesh’s father works for an infrastructure company, while his mother is a stay-at-home mom. He is presently single and has no relationships. In Singapore, he founded Aroa Ventures, a new investment firm. This firm focuses on the early phases of development.

Aroa Ventures was established last year, with Agarwal and Thomas Hufnagel as the two shareholders. Aroa Ventures is entirely owned by Agarwal. This investment is backed by RACo holding firm, another Agarwal investment business that wholly owns Aroa Ventures.

Many of us can be inspired by Agarwal’s experience. He works hard to grow his company and expand it abroad. OYO is currently a worldwide platform that provides full stack technology to entrepreneurs, small businesses, and hotel owners in order to enhance their revenues. Tourists may book budget-friendly and confirmed accommodations with OYO.

Everything you need to know about Metaverse

0

The Metaverse is simply a virtual environment, or a collection of digital platforms that resemble the actual world that people may interact with or experience via various technologies. This article will teach you all you need to know about Metaverse.

Have you ever imagined a virtual universe? If so, Metaverse has arrived!

We are entering a metaverse, where we will experience a virtual world alongside the actual world. After this technology advances, the notion of a parallel world will become a reality.

What exactly is the Metaverse? The word “metaverse” was originally used in 1992 in “Neal Stephenson’s” science fiction novel “Snow Crash,” in which he imagined lifelike avatars meeting in 3D buildings and other virtual spaces.

The term “metaverse” is derived from the words “meta,” which means “beyond,” and “verse,” which means “universe.” It is a platform that exists outside of the cosmos. It exists virtually, yet it has a sense of reality.

The Metaverse’s Characteristics

The Metaverse has two characteristics:

Presence – The sensation of being present in a virtual place with people.

Interoperability – The capacity to move across virtual locations using virtual assets. How does Metaverse function?

The Metaverse is the realm of the future of digital, where people connect and live together in their 3D avatars, entirely immersed in augmented and virtual reality. We need an Augmented Reality (AR) or Virtual Reality (VR) headset to engage virtually with each other.

We will be able to acquire a virtual house and land for our life on Metaverse, attend meetings, go shopping, enjoy sports, watch movies with our friends, and do many other activities that are currently impossible due to distance.

Consider sitting in Dubai and going to supper with your family and friends in Mumbai at a restaurant table reserved in Paris.

Who controls the Metaverse?

Nobody owns the Metaverse in the same way that no one owns the internet. It is a platform that is both open and decentralized. It will be used by a myriad of businesses and people to manage their spaces.

The Impact of the Metaverse on Humans

The development of Virtual Reality is concerned about consumer addiction. Humanity’s future will be lost in the grip of technology, which draws no distinction between the virtual and actual worlds.

Humans will limit themselves to a location because everything is easily accessible on the Metaverse.

After the introduction of Metaverse, a person becomes so immersed in the virtual world that he loses touch with reality.  He will eventually be alone, which will have an impact on his psychological health.

The expansion of digital commerce

Today, the world’s tech behemoths like as Facebook, Microsoft, and others are pouring billions of dollars into the Metaverse. Soon, their virtual business will emerge, and the firms will profit greatly by selling these enterprises. We shall be the target audience for Metaverse services provided by NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens).

Metaverse is anticipated to extend the internet by merging all virtual spaces, such as online gaming, social networking, cryptocurrencies, and so on, together on a single platform.

Bitcoin loses over half its value as price drops to $30K

0

On Friday, the price of one bitcoin plummeted below $30,000, down from more than $64,000 in November. The sell-off is being fueled in part by increasing interest rates and 40-year-high inflation.

Bitcoin, which enjoyed spectacular increases last year, has lost more than half its value in the previous six months.

Since peaking at more over $64,000 in November, the price of one bitcoin has dropped by more than half. It was trading about $30,000 on Friday, after sliding as low as $26,000 earlier in the week.

The sell-off is linked in part to increasing interest rates and inflation, which has put the larger stock market into a tailspin.

However, those investors who purchased bitcoin during its most recent price surge may be shocked by the magnitude of its collapse.

A slew of online narratives, some of which have been echoed in mainstream business publications, have declared bitcoin to be untethered from traditional investment markets, and even to be a reliable hedge against the kind of inflation that the United States and other parts of the world are currently experiencing.

However, the recent bitcoin sell-off occurred in the context of a broader market slump, which looks to refute the claim that bitcoin is immune to traditional market pressures, according to analysts.

“That was a story, but it’s not accurate,” said Damanick Dantes, an investor and cryptocurrency market analyst at CoinDesk.

Instead, bitcoin’s price trend resembles that of volatile technology equities for businesses that frequently operate at a loss despite significant growth, according to Dantes. In other words, trading on bitcoin these days is no different than betting on a software business with plenty of potential but little apparent short-term value.

Growth in those assets, according to Dantes, is typically fuelled by what he refers to as investors’ excess risk budgets, which are frequently connected with low interest rate settings. He believes bitcoin’s sell-off is unsurprising given that interest rates have increased and investors’ appetite for risk has waned.

He stated, “Investors and traders are increasingly seeking for consistency, as well as high-quality value locations. That is the polar opposite of a cryptocurrency like bitcoin.”
