“Parents who throw their girl after giving birth must be crying inside because they can’t even meet their born daughter”
There is an orphanage in Maharashtra’s Pune city, called ‘Srivastava Orphanage’. On 13 August 1979 a girl was born in an unknown corner of the city, parents did not know it was a compulsion, that they threw a piece of their liver early morning into the crib of this orphanage, the manager orphanage named the sweet baby girl ‘Laila’ Gone.
In those days an American couple named Haren and Sue came to visit India. There was already a girl in his family, his purpose of coming to India was to adopt a boy. They came to this ashram looking for a handsome boy. They didn’t find a boy, but Sue looked at Layla and she fell in love with her bright brown eyes and innocent face.
After legal proceedings, the girl was adopted, Sue changed her name to Laila to ‘leased‘, they moved back to America, but after a few years they settled permanently in Sydney.
Father taught his daughter to play cricket, this journey started from home park to playing with street boy. His passion for cricket was immense, but he also completed his studies. She got a good chance, she completed her studies and went on. First she used to speak, then her bat started speaking and then her records started talking.
