Soothe Healthcare to deepen its reach to women with Rs.175 cr funding

Personal Hygiene brand Soothe Healthcare has secured Rs.175 crore in funding. Among other things, the company will use the money to deepen its reach to women across tier II and III markets.

Soothe Healthcare, a personal hygiene business, has secured Rs 175 crore in new capital from the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and current investors.

DFC has invested Rs 55 crore in Soothe Healthcare, with the remaining funds coming from existing investors such as A91, Symphony, Sixth Sense Ventures, and GII.

In August 2021, the firm raised its most recent round of investment.

According to a statement, DFC’s investment is in accordance with its Global Health and Prosperity Initiative and 2X Women’s Initiative, which aim to empower women and provide them with the financial tools they need to prioritize their health and hygiene requirements.

For around Rs 15, an entrepreneur has created an eco-friendly urine bag.

Soothe Healthcare, which manufactures Paree Sanitary Pads, plans to utilize the funds to expand its distribution channels, expand its access to women in Tier II and III markets, and boost its marketing.

Sahil Dharia, Founder and CEO of Soothe Healthcare, stated,”Our objective is to give women with high quality goods at a fantastic value.”

Our value proposition and social impact-driven business approach have enabled Paree Sanitary Pads establish itself as a trusted personal hygiene brand in India.”

Soothe Healthcare’s flagship product, Paree Sanitary Pads, was released in 2016 through offline FMCG distribution channels. The firm has entered foreign markets, created new product verticals, and more than quadrupled its manufacturing capacity.

Abhay Panday, General Partner, A91 Partners, said, “We continue to be believers in the business opportunities in women’s hygiene and Soothe’s unrelenting emphasis on developing a high-quality Indian brand in the area.”
