Qualifying as hosts alongside the West Indies, the tournament will be historic for the United States, as it will be the country’s first global event.
The 20-team tournament proper in 2024 will be structured differently than the First Round/Super 12 system used in the 2021 and 2022 editions, with two phases preceding the knockouts.
