Om Raut directed Adipurush may have earned huge at the box-office due to the hype created before its release but it has failed to win the hearts of the majority of the Indians who didn’t like this version of Ramayan. Audiences slammed the makers for various issues such as VFX, characterization, tampering the facts and also because of the dialogues which can be called cheap.
The movie starred Prabhas and Kriti Sanon in the roles of Bhagwan Ram and Maa Sita while Saif Ali Khan played the character of Lankesh. The writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla who wrote the dialogues of the movie left no stone unturned in defending the film and its dialogues in the beginning and he went on to say that Adipurush is heavily inspired from Ramayan but it is not an adaptation of Ramayan.
However, now he has taken to the micro-blogging site Twitter and offered unconditional apology as he accepts that Adipurush has hurt the religious sentiments of people.
He tweeted both in Hindi and English, “I accept people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation”.
While the majority of netizens have called it a drama as they feel that he should have done this earlier and he is playing safe by doing it now as Adipurush will be taken down from the halls soon and it won’t affect the earnings of the movie in any manner.
Is Manoj Muntashir really serious while apologizing or is it all a drama? What do you think? Let us know your views.
