The former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar who is considered as one of the greatest batters of all times has made many records in his name during his playing days. Though many of those records got broken by other players yet there is one record which hasn’t been broken so far and there is almost nil chance of it getting broken in the future as well.
Well in 1974, the Indian team visited England to play a test series, in a test match which was played at Old Trafford, the wind was blowing at a heavy speed and Sunny was having a little difficulty in batting as his locks of hair were coming down on his eyes and were hampering his vision, making it tough for him to bat.
In such a scenario, Little Master came up with an idea and he requested the on-field umpire Dickie Bird to cut his hair and the umpire obliged. So in a way, it can be said that Sunil Gavaskar is the only cricketer who has had a haircut on the field.
Though Gavaskar scored 101 in this match, India still lost the game.
