India’s Virat Kohli and Pakistan’s Babar Azam are two of the best batters of the cricket world of the present times but there is one young cricketer who has left both of them behind in regard to an important record.
We are talking about Gustav Mckeon, the young cricketer from France who has broken one more record after his entry in the T20 cricket. On July 12, the 19 years old cricketer scored 44 runs (25 balls) in a match against Malta and helped his team in winning the match in Valleta Cup. With this innings, he has become the first batter to score more than 600 runs in 10 consecutive T20 innings. Earlier the record of scoring the most runs in 10 consecutive T20 innings was in the name of Pakistani skipper Babar Azam who had scored 565 runs, while another Pakistani batter Mohammed Rizwan scored 560 runs, the star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli had scored 542 runs in 10 consecutive T20 innings.
Gustav Mckeon has scored two centuries and four fifties in these 10 consecutive innings and it also happens to be his first consecutive 10 innings. What has surprised everyone is the fact that Gustav Mckeon hasn’t played competitive T20 cricket before he made his international debut in July last year.
Gustav Mckeon is the name which we will hear more in coming times, what do you say?
