Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2 is one of the most awaited movies of the year but it has attracted a controversy after people made objections in regard to some scenes of the movie alleging that they are hurting the religious sentiments of a community.
The censor board (Central Board of Certification [CBFC]) got brutally slammed after the release of Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush as public was furious with the makers for tampering the facts, poor VFX and the manner in which the characters were shown in the movie and questioned as to how the censor board passed Adipurush which is based on a Hindu epic but it is so unauthentic.
As per a report, OMG 2 is based on the subject of LGBTQ community which created a controversy after which the censor board has put the film on hold. The movie has been referred to a Revising Committee and it is being said that the chairman of CBFC, Prasoon Joshi will personally watch the movie.
Now, the actor Pankaj Tripathi who is playing an important character in the movie has opened up in this regard and stated in an interview, “All I will say is, please don’t believe what is being written about it. Log bahot kuch bol rahen hain. Lekin sachchai samne aayegi jab film release hogi” (people are saying many things but the truth will come out only after the movie gets released).
Yami Gautam is also playing an important role in this movie and only time will tell what decision is taken by the censor board in regard to OMG 2.
