The Australian cricket team has retained the Ashes as the fourth test match which was being played at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Greater Manchester, ended in a draw and this must have been very disappointing for the England cricket team as they had upper hand for the first four days of the game.

On the final day of the game, Australia was trailing by 61 runs and England needed 5 wickets to win the match but not even a single ball was bowled due to rain. It won’t be wrong to say that England did everything that was in their control to win the match and in this game, they scored their highest total in the Ashes on their home ground.

The England cricketers performed pretty well in order to level the series but rain destroyed their chances of leveling the series. Australia is leading the series by 2-1 as they had won the first two test matches and the third one was won by the hosts.

In the press conference, a reporter asked the English skipper Ben Stokes whether losing the first two test matches of the series was a bigger disappointment than the fourth test match getting drawn. Stokes’ response was quite blunt as he had a blank face while saying, “No, not really”, then he stared and gave a grin to the reporter.

Here is the video of the incident:

Earlier, Ben Stokes was also criticized for declaring the innings in the first test match but we have to agree that in this test match, England did everything that they could have done.
