Meet the Aligarh boy, and his friends who built Rs 15 cr tech startup RipenApps from Rs.15 lac

Ishan Gupta, a young child from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, learned about his family’s seven-store bicycle and e-bike distribution company.

Ishan left his family’s company to create his own venture, as he was fascinated by technology.

He founded RipenApps with three pals in 2016 with Rs 15 lakh and now makes Rs 15 crore.

RipenApps has served huge corporations and innovative startups.

Dell, Adobe, Hungama TV, EP&T Global, and Jana Marines are their partners. e-Gurukul, Motion Academy, Mind Alcove, and Rapidkart Online are among their firms.

After school, Ishan enjoyed visiting his father’s Aligarh bicycle business. “Once I got back from school, I would freshen up, and my mother would provide some food for me to take to my father,” he says.

I spent the remainder of the day at the shop, first just watching. As I learnt the company, I interacted with customers.”

As a youngster, he felt left out of play. “But today, I recognize the essential lessons I learned by spending so much time with my father in the business. “I have no regrets,” Ishan, 34, says gratefully.

Three Dots Sewamarg Public School gave Ishan Class 12. He then earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Raja Balwant Singh College in Agra and a Master’s from the Institute of Technology & Science in NCR Ghaziabad.

His education shaped his enthusiasm for technology and prepared him for his destiny.

Ishan sharpened his abilities in the business sphere after graduating from computer science school.

“I was not a top student. I was curious. I would study any topic in depth. Ishan says he wouldn’t cram for examinations.

Stellar Information Technologies hired him as a Software Engineer in 2012 for eight months.

From 2012 until 2014, he worked for Appstudioz Technologies Pvt Ltd. in Noida. Times Internet in Noida was his final employment before entrepreneurship. Ishan improved and learnt over these years.

I worked hard because I knew I would establish a business. Throughout school and college, I was intrigued. “Corporate life taught me a lot,” he admits.

In 2016, Ishan, Saurabh Pandey, Vaibhav Sharma, and Prankur Haldiya founded RipenApps, a mobile app development firm.

We’re business families. Ishan believes that’s why they decided to establish their own business. The four buddies pooled Rs 15 lakh, contributing equally, using their finance, business, and IT talents.

They helped build RipenApps. Saurabh, a Chartered Accountant, is CFO, Vaibhav is Business Head, and Prankur, a technologist, is CTO. Their unique abilities and expertise helped their business flourish quickly.

In 2016, four entrepreneurs founded RipenApps in a 400-square-foot Noida office.

They hired eight people in a week and now have 160 employees in an 8000-square-foot workplace.

“The company name is Ripen and Apps,” Ishan says. “We realized that many apps in the market weren’t ‘ripe,’ so we’re working hard to make sure the apps we develop for businesses are fully matured, contributing to their growth and success.”

Ishan landed his first US healthcare customer in a week. “We got our first client easily since we’ve been in the IT industry for years,” he added. We had strong industrial ties.”

RipenApps has expanded enormously. “The first year, the firm made Rs. 50 lakh serving 15-20 consumers. “We have 600 clients and Rs 15 crore in turnover,” adds Ishan.

Mobile apps are easily accessible on smartphones, making them lucrative for enterprises, according to Ishan.

“Even if you don’t use an app often, you’ll probably keep it on your phone,” he adds. You may have a cab app on your phone but rarely travel.

When you need a cab, you remember you have an app. Thus, a mobile app boosts business exposure, drawing more clients and increasing income.”

Ishan says, “I wanted to start my own.” Technology has always intrigued me. I wish to assist several industries.”

Ishan says RipenApps would be a one-stop shop for digital product development. Development, Support, and Infrastructure are our current Business Units, but we want to include Marketing, AI, IoT, and other new IT technologies and industries.

Ishan advises aspiring entrepreneurs. If time or money limits your efforts, he proposes splitting a goal into smaller, doable chunks.

He claims success will come through adopting micro strategies one by one and being consistent.

Ishan’s tale shows that success requires hard effort, desire, and a quest for knowledge.

RipenApps’ development and effect on the IT sector show what can happen when people work together to build something amazing.
