Telegram launches new Stories feature with editing ability to mark its 10th anniversary

During the encrypted messaging platform’s 10th anniversary celebration, Telegram officially introduced its Stories feature for all users. Users may update their tales even after they have been published on Telegram, a capability not available on other platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, or TikTok. This is an important distinction between Telegram and other messaging apps.

Telegram lets users adjust visibility, captions, on-screen text, stickers, and other features of their tales without deleting and reposting them, unlike other social networking sites.

Telegram’s Stories feature, which has a user base of more than 800 million, provides a dual-camera mode, movable privacy settings, variable time options, and more.

Users may still view their whole chat list and folders since the Stories are displayed in an expanded portion at the top of the screen. Users will by default be able to view all of their contacts’ articles on the site. They may, however, transmit tales to archived conversations and conceal stories from particular contacts.

Telegram’s Stories feature, with a user base of over 800 million, offers features like dual-camera mode, movable privacy settings, and variable time options. Users can view their chat list and folders, transmit stories to archived conversations, and enrich their stories with text, drawings, stickers, and location markers. Stories can last for 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours, and users can upload them to their profiles. Premium members can also switch on Stealth Mode, which hides viewing behavior for 25 minutes and deletes views from any stories they’ve opened in the past 5 minutes. Telegram’s innovative approach to Stories and user control sets it apart from competitors in the social media environment, offering a degree of freedom and personalization.

Users may enrich their tales with text, drawings, stickers, and location markers thanks to Telegram’s feature-rich media editor. Stories now include captions, which let users add links, tag friends, and provide extended text descriptions.

Users have four privacy options when submitting a story: Everyone, My Contacts, Close Friends, and Selected Contacts. Stories can endure 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours. Users may post their stories to their profiles, where they are displayed in a beautiful grid and visible to existing and new connections.

For further privacy, Premium members can switch on Stealth Mode, which hides their viewing behavior for the following 25 minutes and deletes their views from any stories they’ve opened in the preceding 5 minutes.

With its novel approach to Stories and dedication to user control, Telegram stands out from its rivals in the social media environment by providing a degree of freedom and personalization.
