Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the actor who is known for his versatile performances in Indian Cinema is currently gearing up for his next release Haddi which will premiere on a digital platform on 7 September. The trailer of the movie has excited many people as Nawaz looks phenomenal in the role of a transgender and his acting is just superb as always.
However, the actor has now attracted controversy as many feel that he has taken a jibe at the superstar Shah Rukh Khan with whom he worked in the movie, Raees. While answering a question about being typecast in the roles, Nawazuddin Sidiqui said, “I am so adamant, I will not let myself be typecast. Heros are often typecast. They do the same things for 35 years.”
Though Nawaz didn’t take the name of any actor, he did the iconic action that is done by Shah Rukh Khan. Here is the video clip:
Soon the reddit users started slamming and mocking Nawaz, one wrote, “Isko pata nahi hai… Par ye type cast ho chuka hai… As a GAREEB AADMI OR CRIMINAL”
Another one wrote, “Ab 35 saal tak dekhne layak v to hone chahiye!”
There was one user who wrote, “SRK used to praise him so much, shouldn’t have done that hand pose. Also he himself is getting typecasted in either small town comedies or gangster roles (although he does less villain ones now)”
