The property rates in Mumbai are pretty high and as per some reports, the Juhu house of actor Dev Anand has been sold for a whopping amount of Rs. 400 crores. This is the same house in which Dev Anand lived with his wife Kalpana Kartik and their kids Suniel Anand and Devina Anand.
A portal reported that the house has been bought by a top real estate company, it wrote, “It has been sold for approximately ₹350-400 crores as it’s a prime location with bungalows of prominent industrialists in the locality.”
Now the house will be converted into a 22-storey building after the paperwork gets completed.
Dev Anand built this house in the year 1950 as he loved the wilderness of Juhu as it was a village at that time.
In an interview, Dev Anand said that he built the house over there as he was a loner at heart but he was not happy with Juhu getting crowded especially on Sundays. He said, “It’s not the same beach any longer. My Iris Park residence doesn’t have a park anymore, there is a school and four bungalows bang opposite my place.”
