Indian billionaire and Asian Paints Ltd. co-founder, Ashwin Suryakant Dani, passed away at the age of 79 on September 28. Dani was the non-executive chairman of India’s largest paint company. He was reportedly the second-generation scion of the family that co-founded the company.
Dani served as Vice Chairman, Managing Director, and Non-Executive Board Chairman. He joined the Board in 1970. He was Company Vice Chairman and Managing Director from 1998 until 2009. Asian Paints said he was a Non-Executive Director and Vice Chairman of the Board of Company since 2009.
