Microsoft’s CTO and EVP of AI, Kevin Scott, wrote on X that the business has read their OpenAI board petition.
He wrote, “To my partners at OpenAI: We have seen your petition and appreciate your desire potentially to join Sam Altman at Microsoft’s new AI Research Lab.”
“Know that if needed, you have a role at Microsoft that matches your compensation and advances our collective mission,” he continued.
Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella announced Sam Altman’s hiring. Greg Brockman, co-founder and previous president of OpenAI, will lead the tech giant’s advanced AI research division alongside Altman.
