In India, OMCs raised commercial LPG cylinder pricing by Rs 21, affecting restaurants and catering enterprises. Domestic consumers’ 14.2 kg LPG gas cylinder prices have not changed, while Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) price has been reduced.

In certain regions, Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have raised commercial LPG cylinder pricing by Rs 21. The hike begins December 1. The price increase of commercial gas cylinders will hurt restaurants and food businesses, which could effect consumers’ dining out costs.

New 19-kg LPG cylinder prices

After the rise, a 19 kg LPG cylinder costs Rs 1796.50 in Delhi, Rs 1908 in Kolkata, Rs 1749 in Mumbai, and Rs 1968.50 in Chennai. Previous prices for a 19kg LPG cylinder in Delhi were Rs 1775.50, Kolkata Rs 1885.50, Mumbai Rs 1728, and Chennai Rs 1942.

The latest price change follows a Rs 100 hike on November 1 and a Rs 57 decrease on November 16.

Domestic consumer relief

Good news for domestic consumers: firms have not changed the 14.2 kilogram LPG gas cylinder price. Domestic LPG, used in kitchens for cooking, stayed at Rs 903 per 14.2-kg cylinder.

The government previously discounted this cylinder by Rs 200. According to Indian Oil’s website, this cylinder costs Rs 903 in Delhi. It costs Rs 900.50 in Noida. It costs Rs 929 in Kolkata, Rs 902.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 918.50 in Chennai.

ATF price cut

From December 1, oil marketers cut Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices by 4.6%. Second reduction in a month.

Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai now charge Rs 1,06,155.67, 1,44,639.70, 99,223.44, and 1,09,966.39 per kiloliter for domestic planes. The fall in ATF rates may lower airfares, making domestic air travel more accessible.

Conclusion

Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) nationwide hiked commercial LPG cylinder pricing by Rs 21 per cylinder on December 1. This increase is projected to influence the restaurant and food industry, perhaps raising dining out costs. The 19-kg LPG cylinder costs Rs 1796.50 in Delhi, Rs 1908 in Kolkata, Rs 1749 in Mumbai, and Rs 1968.50 in Chennai. A 14.2 kilogram LPG gas cylinder costs Rs 903 and remains steady.
