Private hospitals, dental clinics, diagnostic and eyecare institutes can apply to be enrolled by the Delhi Municipal Corporation to provide healthcare to its employees and pensioners. Empanelled hospitals’ tenures are ending, therefore the procedure started over. The selected centers will offer CGHS services to retired workers and cashless services to current employees.
Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has asked private hospitals, dentistry clinics, diagnostic and eyecare facilities to apply for empanelment to provide healthcare benefits to its employees and pensioners.
The CGHS Delhi or Delhi government employee health services-empanelled centers can apply. The exercise began again because empanelled hospitals will shortly expire.
In the past, retired and other staff were denied treatment or had trouble accessing health care from empanelled hospitals due to cash shortages. The unified MCD will follow the same method. Denial of treatment caused many retired employees to complain to senior officials.
As empanelled centres’ three-year terms expire, we welcome new applications from private hospitals and healthcare centers. A top official said hospitals or labs can now seek for empanelment regardless of dues.
The erstwhile south corporation empanelled 72 private hospitals, 47 eyecare, 37 dental, and 33 diagnostic centres to provide curative and diagnostic services to beneficiaries at CGHS Delhi rates and guidelines in February 2021 on behalf of north, south, and east corporations for three years.
After MCD unified in May 2022, a policy was created to name hospitals, diagnostic centers, etc. that had not paid dues for a long time. After deciding on serial number proportions, the payment was released. Then, hospitals accepted MCD employees and provided healthcare coverage, the official said.
After fresh empanelment, the selected healthcare centres will provide services to retired staff at CGHS rates (reimbursed later) and cashless to current employees. “We are sure that things will work smoothly now,” said the official.
Conclusion
Private hospitals, dentistry clinics, diagnostic and eyecare institutes can apply to be enrolled by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to provide healthcare to its employees and retirees. As empanelled hospitals expire, the exercise has begun again. The combined MCD will undergo the process since retirees and other staff have trouble acquiring health care from empanelled hospitals because to cash shortages. For three years, north, south, and east corporations empanelled 72 private hospitals, 47 eyecare, 37 dental, and 33 diagnostic institutes to provide curative and diagnostic services at CGHS Delhi rates and standards. After the fresh empanelment process, the selected healthcare centers will provide services to retired staff at CGHS prices (reimbursed later) and cashless to current employees.
