Many Indian celebs have got irked with the anti-India remarks by the Maldives ministers and high officials despite the fact that Indians form the major chunk of tourists to Maldives. After the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Lakshadweep, posted photos and asked Indians to visit the beautiful location, three Maldives ministers made anti-Modi and anti-India remarks, thinking that PM Modi is trying to hamper their tourism business.
These three ministers have been suspended by the Maldives government but this has resulted in huge reactions by Indians as many flights to Maldives and a good number of hotel bookings have been cancelled by Indians and now they are thinking of visiting Indian places.
Many celebs such as Akshay Kumar, Virender Sehwag, Amitabh Bachchan, etc. have talked against Maldives and advocated visiting beautiful Indian locations. Ranveer Singh also tried to encourage his fans and followers to boost Indian tourism and for this purpose, he posted a photo with the caption, “This year let’s make 2024 about exploring India and experiencing our culture. There is so much to see and explore across the beaches and the beauty of our country… Chalo India let’s #exploreindianislands Chalo Bharat dekhe.”
However, soon online users started trolling Ranveer Singh because he used a photo of Maldives to promote Lakshadweep. As Ranveer realized that he made a mistake, he deleted the photo and now his tweet looks like this:
Well, Ranveer Singh can do anything, what do you say?
