Shivam Dube Reveals Rohit Sharma’s Reaction After His Half-Century In 2nd T20I

The Indian cricket team has taken an invincible lead of 2-0 in the ongoing 3-match T20I series against Afghanistan after defeating the visitors in the second T20 by 6 wickets.

The match was played yesterday at Holkar stadium, Indore and batting first, Afghanistan put up a total of 172 runs in 20 overs. The Indian cricket team chased the target successfully in just 15.4 overs with 6 wickets in hand with the help of brilliant knocks of Yashasvi Jaiswal (68 runs) and Shivam Dube (63 runs not out).

This is the second time that Shivam Dube scored a half-century and remained not-out in this series and he said in a conversation that the skipper is quite happy with him. In his words, “The skipper is really happy with my performance, he told me well played.”

Talking about his partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam said, “We both are stroke players, we know our game. My role was to take on the spinners, but our plan was to attack and finish the game early. There wasn’t any target in mind, but we should have finished the game earlier.”

He further added, “There are many things that I have worked on, apart from skill it is about how mentally you prepare for the T20 game. How to handle pressure, and deciding which bowlers to take on. It isn’t important to hit every ball.”

The player of the match was Axar Patel who ended the match with the wonderful figures of 2/17.

The third and the final T20 of the series will be played on 17 Jan at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
