The third and the final T20I which was played between India and Afghanistan was one of the most thrilling encounters that we have seen. The match went into super-over after it got tied and what was more exciting was that even the first super-over got tied and then the result was obtained from the second super-over.

Though India won the match, questions would have been raised on Rohit choosing Ravi Bishnoi for bowling in the second super-over if India had lost the match.

Ravi Bishnoi told the broadcasters after the match, “Both of us were told to be ready but when he (Rohit Sharma) saw two right-handers coming in, he asked me to bowl with the bigger leg-side boundary.”

The Indian head coach Rahul Dravid also praised the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma for his decision. He said in the press conference, “No gimmicks no strategy, just a simple decision in the end. I think when Rohit went with Bishnoi, he went with his gut feeling. I think he felt that the spinner had a chance to take two wickets. It was one of those days when 11 was probably not a huge score. It was one of those games where you knew if they batted six balls with the power they had, they probably would have scored 12 runs.”

He further added, “So you needed to take two wickets and I think it was a great call from the skipper because he (Bishnoi) could have gone for two sixes. But I thought Bishnoi was brilliant because he bowled two superb balls; he just kept the length back, and had it gone slightly fuller, the way they were batting probably on a small ground would have gone for a six.”

What do you think of Rohit Sharma’s decision?
