Stock Market Today: Sensex, Nifty rise over 0.5% on foreign inflows; Tata Steel, Titan, others lead gains

The BSE Sensex and Nifty rose 0.44 and 0.50 points due to foreign money inflows. Tata Steel, Titan, State Bank of India, Axis Bank, JSW Steel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance, Sun Pharma, Reliance Industries led gains.

The BSE Sensex started Wednesday at 72,503.52, up 317.43 points, or 0.44 percent, while the Nifty jumped 113.30 points, or 0.50 percent, to 22,042.70. Strong foreign money inflows boosted equity momentum.

State Bank of India, Axis Bank, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Titan, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Sun Pharma, and Reliance Industries led Sensex advances. In contrast, HCL Technologies, Infosys, Power Grid, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and ICICI Bank lagged.

Seoul and Shanghai rose, but Tokyo and Hong Kong fell. On the previous trading day, the BSE benchmark rose 454.67 points, or 0.63 percent, to 72,186.09, while the Nifty rose 157.70 points, or 0.72 percent, to 21,929.40.

Conclusion

BSE Sensex began 317.43 points higher at 72,503.52, Nifty 113.30 points higher at 22,042.70. Equities gained from strong foreign fund inflows.
