The Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has scripted history by becoming the world’s number one test bowler by securing the top spot in the ICC Test rankings.
Jasprit Bumrah is the first Indian pacer to become the world’s number one test bowler and the fourth Indian bowler to do so after Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Bishan Singh Bedi. Bumrah who is touted as the best pacer of the present time performed superbly in the second test match between India and England and took 9 wickets (6 wickets in the first innings and 3 in the second innings) and helped his team in winning the match by 106 runs.
Jasprit Bumrah was adjudged as the Player of the Match and recently he made a cryptic post in which he compared the support that he got and the congratulations that he got.
Earlier there were reports that the selectors are thinking of resting Jasprit Bumrah in the third test match but now it has been reported that by resting Bumrah, the selectors don’t want to give any chance to the England cricket team of making any comeback in the evenly balanced 5-match test series (1-1) and Bumrah may feature in the squad for the third test match which will be played at Rajkot from 15 Feb.
