The Indian actor Emraan Hashmi is one of the most popular actors of the industry and a lot of credit goes to the kissing scenes that he did in the movies earlier in his career. In fact, he did so many kissing scenes that he got the tag of “serial kisser” and his presence in a movie guaranteed kissing scenes.
During an interview, Emraan Hashmi said that some filmmakers tried to take advantage of his image of a serial kisser by including kissing scenes which were not needed in the movie and he also told why he does not do kissing scenes now.
He said, “It’s the voice of my wife and I listen to that. I haven’t added any kissing scenes in my films. In fact, from the beginning I wanted to tone it down in films but an image of mine was created and a lot of producers took advantage of that. It became a staple thing to please the audience. When I see my films, I honestly feel that in some places those scenes weren’t required but it was an awakening for an audience also. It was a lead for cinema but I received the flak.”
When he was asked whether his wife worries about kissing scenes now, he said, “Of course she did but not anymore because I don’t do those kind of scenes anymore.” But Emraan Hashmi has done kissing scene in his upcoming web series, Showtime and when he was reminded about it, he said, “She hasn’t seen the show yet. So, she might feel worried after watching it.”
