Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidaan’ Scores Big: Earns Rs 27 Crore in India on 7th Day

On Wednesday, April 17, there was a modest uptick in the box office receipts for Bollywood star Ajay Devgn’s “Maidaan.” Trade estimates state that the movie’s net earnings in India were close to Rs 2 crore. ‘Maidaan’ has been having trouble at the box office over the week, making about Rs 1.5 crore every day. For the movie to remain in cinemas into the second weekend, it must gain momentum.

Sponsored screenings of “Maidaan” began on April 10 and the film opened in cinemas on April 11. On the occasion of Eid, the movie faced off against the action thriller “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.”

Day 17 collections appear to have increased somewhat for ‘Maidaan’ in comparison to Day 6 figures. According to early trade figures, the movie’s domestic box office receipts are estimated to have been approximately Rs 2 crore net. Even with excellent reviews from various sources, the movie hasn’t done well in cinemas.

In India, “Maidaan’s” seven-day total revenue today stands at Rs 27.10 crore net. On April 17, the movie’s total occupancy was 14.30 percent.

Amit Sharma is the director of the biographical sports drama “Maidaan,” which stars Ajay Devgn as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Between 1952 to 1962, he coached football in India and contributed to the country’s international reputation.

Salwyn Quadras, Aman Rai, Atul Shahi, and Amit Sharma are co-writers of the script. In addition to Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, Gajaraj Rao, Devyansh Tripathi, Boney Kapoor, Nitanshi Goel, and Aayesha Vindhara also play significant parts in the movie. Zed Studios, Bayview Projects, and Fresh Lime Films are all involved in the working together production of the sports drama.
