Last week, as Atif Aslam, a musician from Pakistan, was singing in Bangladesh, a female fan went on stage and gave him a hug. A fan caught the singer’s classy remark, which is already trending on social media.
The female admirer could be seen crying and embracing Atif in the video. Atif attempted to hold her, but she wouldn’t let go of him. Eventually, he grinned and threw her a short embrace. Then, in the middle of the show, he was observed chatting with her and shaking her hand. Atif grinned and bent as she kissed his hand. The audience and the distraught fan were led away a little while later.
Reactions from fans
Social media users were quick to comment on the performance footage, complimenting the artist on her poise and decency in the face of adversity. One commenter commented on the video, saying, “Men have personal space too.” Respecting someone else’s personal space does not entitle you to do so. “He acted with grace and sensitivity,” said a second person. “Why do fans put celebrities in such an awkward position?” was another statement that was made. It’s quite awkward and cringe-worthy. You don’t have to lose your senses to be a fan. “What a class act! Another remark said, “He seemed a little uncomfortable, but he handled the situation calmly.”
Additional details
Previously, Atif Aslam had responded when a fan tossed some cash at him during a US show. He was seen telling the musicians to stop in a video taken by an audience member, after which he said to the fan, “My friend, you can come back and donate this money.” In addition, Atif invited the admirer to the stage. Please come on over. I am aware of your extreme wealth, and I am grateful. Kindly make the payment. Though I think the notion is good, this merely belittles the money. He answered, “Don’t throw it at me.”
Among the many Bollywood songs that Atif has sang are Tera Hone Laga Hoon, Tere Sang Yaara, Main Rang Sharbaton Ka, and Dil Diyan Galla.
