Vidya Balan, the beautiful actress is currently getting praised for her performance in the recently released movie, Do aur Do Pyaar in which she has worked with Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D’Cruz and others.
Vidya Balan is not from a filmy background and recently during an interview, she admitted that it does make a difference if the person doesn’t belong to a filmy background.
Vidya Balan narrated an incident as per which she was being awarded with Na-Real award because of her dresses in the movie Heyy Babyy, she took it sportingly and also told the organizers that she would share it with the costume designer and the director as well but she was told not to do that.
Talking about the harrowing experience in which she felt bullied, she said, “When they told me they’re going to give me the Na-Real award, I said, ‘Why me? My clothes are not just my choice, right?’ At that time, I was too new to have an opinion on anything. So they said, ‘No, we’re just doing this fun segment so we’re going to give you this award.’ So I said, ‘Fine, but I’m going to share it with the costume designer and the director, and they said, ‘No, you mustn’t do that.’ And that, I think, is not nice.”
However, when Vidya reached the venue, she found out that all other actresses who were getting Na-Real awards backed out and she felt targeted, shattered and bullied but she did take the name of her costume designer and director while taking the award. She said, “At that night, I was shattered. I was shattered because I was very alone. I realised that yes, it does make a difference when you don’t come from a film family. Because no one outside you is looking out for you. It felt like bullying to me. It was, it undoubtedly was. Just because I don’t come with a certain shield, you can’t… I thought it was a joke so it was okay. But when I realised I was the only one being made fun of, it wasn’t funny anymore.”
The good news for her fans is that she will be back in the third part of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise.
