Gautam Gambhir Backs Virat Kohli Over Strike Rate Row With A Sensible Remark

The RCB batter Virat Kohli gave a fiery response to the question in which he was asked about the talks related to his strike rate and the problem that he faces while playing spin bowling. The response came after Virat Kohli played a superb knock of 70 runs not out in the match against Gujarat Titans and helped his team in winning the match by chasing the target of 201 successfully.

Virat Kohli stated, “All the people who talk about strike rates and me not playing spin well are the ones talking about this stuff. For me, it’s about winning games for the team and there’s a reason why you’ve done it for 15 years, you’ve done this day in and day out, you’ve won games for your teams.”

Many people criticized Virat Kohli for his attitude after he responded in this manner but Gautam Gambhir, the former Indian cricketer, came out in support of Virat Kohli as he said, “Every player has a different game. What Maxwell can do, Kohli cannot, and what Kohli can do, Maxwell cannot. You need to have different types of batters in your XI. If from No.1 to No.8 you stack it up with explosive batters, you may score 300 but also get bowled out for 30. “When you win, even a strike rate of 100 is good. But when you lose despite having a strike rate of 180, no one talks about it. That is the reality.”

RCB batter Will Jacks was adjudged as the Player of the Match as he played a superb knock of 100 runs not out for which he played only 41 deliveries.
