There are countries in this world that are categorised as dangerous because of certain factors such as climate, security, medical hazards etc.

Ukraine – Ukraine is currently a war zone and must be avoided by all means. The social and political instability caused due to Russia’s attack has made it very difficult for even the local people to survive. Moreover, the eastern regions are the most affected by war and remain risky for travellers. Corruption, political contradictions and post-war low living standards have led to instability in the country.

Syria – Syria has been undergoing a civil war for several years now, which has resulted in human suffering, destruction and population movement to safer places. There is a complex geopolitical environment in the country as there are frequent clashes between various internal and external forces.

Afghanistan – Afghanistan has a long history of unrest and conflict. The country is currently governed by The Taliban who is known for strict compliance to Islamic Law. Violence against their citizens is a common occurrence and understandably makes travel highly risky. Travel experts recommend avoiding Afghanistan at all costs, unless necessary. In fact, Afghanistan has maintained its position as the most dangerous country for the last six years, so better to avoid going there.

Yemen – Yemen is currently undergoing a severe humanitarian crisis, as reported by the United Nations. Over the years, 4.3 million people have been displaced and around 14 million people are starving or suffering from deadly diseases. Not to talk about the criminal activities that have been escalating recently! Yemen has the highest crime rate at present and must be avoided.

Somalia – Somalia is synonymous with piracy, posing serious threats to maritime security and international trade. The situation is worsened by internal conflicts, terrorism and terrorist attacks making it highly risky for potential visitors.
