The web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is being loved by the audiences as it takes them in the 1940s, the times when the Indian citizens were fighting the war of independence against the British and it also gives us an insight into the contribution of courtesans in the war of independence.
While most of the actresses of the series such as Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydri and Sanjeeda Sheikh are getting praised for their performances, actress Sharmin Segal is getting slammed heavily as many feel that she has a wooden face and she had only one expression throughout the series.
Many online users have stated that Sharmin got the role because of nepotism as she is the daughter of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s sister Bella Bhansali Segal. Though Sharmin has assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali as assistant director in some of his movies and she debuted through Malaal in 2019, there were many who asked her to join acting classes if she really wants to take up acting as a career.
