What’s Unique: The wave-shaped bus stop is an unexpected gem of modern art. Designed with vibrant yellow and blue mosaics the giant curling wave or shell structure evokes the style of Antoni Gaudi’s work. Adorned with intricate woodwork these stops offer tourists and commuters a charming glimpse into the local culture and architecture.

Fruity Bus Stops Japan

Location: Along a stretch of National Road 207 highway between Konagai and Isahaya city centre

What’s Unique: There are bus stops on the Japanese island of Nagasaki which are modelled after fruits such as cantaloupe, watermelon, lemon, strawberry, tomato, & muskmelon. These musical swings when in motion trigger different notes, and when all the swings together, they compose a piece.

Location: At the Ventura bus stop at Telegraph Rd next to the Pacific View Mall

What’s Unique: The first artist-designed public facility in Ventura, this bus stop facility is a three-dimensional swirling loop, a spiral shelter which depicts a bus transforming into a home.
