The result of India-USA clash came on the expected lines as India won the match but credit goes to the USA bowlers who ensured that the Indian cricketers would need to work hard to win this match.
The match was played yesterday at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York and after winning the toss, India decided to bowl first. USA could manage only 110/8 in their stipulated 20 overs as the Indian bowlers bowled in a disciplined manner and the pick of the bowlers for India was Arshdeep Singh who took four wickets in his four overs and gave only 9 runs.
While the target of 111 was not a big one for the star-studded Indian side but India born USA bowler Saurabh Netravalkar gave initial hiccups by dismissing Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the first two overs.
Netravalkar dismissed Virat Kohli for a golden duck and soon he also sent the Indian skipper back to the dug-out. Though India won the match with the help of 72 runs partnership between Suryakumar Yadav (50 runs not out) and Shivam Dube (31 runs not out), Indian fans were awestruck with the talent of Netravalkar and they asked him to come back and some fans also posted memes.
