On Wednesday, Mumbai hosted the pre-release event for Kalki 2898 AD and Amitabh Bachchan was quick to show his appreciation by touching Aswini Dutt’s feet during an appearance at the event.

Who Is Aswini Dutt?
Established in 1974, Vyjayanthi Movies is one of Tollywood’s premier production houses and home for three of Aswini Dutt’s daughters: Swapna, Priyanka and Sravanthi who all work under Swapna Cinema while one was recently married to Nag Ashwin who directed Kalki 2898 AD.
Aswini has produced blockbusters starring NTR, ANR, Krishna, Sobhan Babu, Krishnam Raju, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh Balakrishna Nagarjuna Mahesh Babu Allu Arjun Jr NTR Ram Charan among others over his long career. After experiencing difficulties with the 2011 film Sakthi Aswini took an extended hiatus before returning with the 2017 hit Mahanati.
Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari (1990), featuring Chiranjeevi and Sridevi as leads, stands as one of Vyjayanthi Movies’s finest productions ever, as well as being Ashwini’s favourite.
