Monsoon brings with it a lot of downpour and relatively humid weather that leaves you sweating most of the times. On the other hand, monsoon is also a happy and heartwarming season when you can experiment with a lot of styles and trendy clothes.

Here are a few tips on how to style yourself appropriately and look stylesh too.

• Instead of thinking of what not to wear, let’s concentrate of what to wear. Take out all your breezy clothes, shorts and dresses as nothing can beat the monsoon like these clothes. Crop tops are perfect for rainy season. Similarly cropped trousers will sve you the trouble of worrying about the edges getting dirty on the road. Try to wear clothes that don’t stick to your body as the chances of getting skin infection are more during monsoon.

• Solid and dark colors are perfect for this season because it can rain anytime and anywhere and when that happens, a solid colored T-shirt or top works fine even if you get drenched. Light colored clothes become transparent when wet and can cause unwanted embarrasment. So, drop the pastels and go for dark colors during monsoon.Avoid wearing white at all costs as it can get dirty easily.

• The humidity during monsoon makes it very difficult to decide on which fabric to wear. Go for fabrics that dry up quickly to avoid bacterial infections. Breathable fabrics will keep you comfortable when the humidity is high. Cotton fabric is light, soft and absorbent; it dries up quickly and allows air flow through it to keep you cool. You can also gofor denim, crepe, rayon fabrics during monsoon.

• Footwear should be chosen wisely as there are chances of slipping. It should have a good grip and should be waterproof, so that water doesn’t seep in. Consider wearing floaters or strappy sandals to walk comfortably.

Besides all these, don’t forget to carry a waterproof clear bag to keep important documents in case it starts raining unexpectedly.
