Veteran writer Salim Khan was allegedly threatened by a woman during his routine morning walk, as reported by a leading daily. The incident occurred when a woman crossed paths with him and invoked the name of Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious gangster known for threatening Salim’s son, Salman Khan.
According to the report, the woman warned Salim Khan to “behave properly” or she will call Lawrence Bishnoi. The police have registered a case at the Bandra Police Station, although the woman’s identity and origin remain unclear. The incident took place only hours after Salman Khan was seen leaving the city.
Salman Khan has been a target of threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang for several years. In a recent statement to the anti-extortion cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch, Salman revealed that he and his family had been receiving threats, culminating in a shooting incident at his residence.
Salman recounted an earlier incident where shots were fired at the balcony of his Galaxy Apartment. He shared, “I heard a cracker-like sound. Then, at around 4.55 am, the police bodyguard said that two people on a bike had fired from a weapon at the Galaxy Apartment’s first-floor balcony. There had been attempts to hurt me and my family prior to this as well. I have learnt that Lawrence Bishnoi has taken responsibility for the attack from social media. So, I believe that it is the Lawrence Bishnoi gang who have carried out the firing on my balcony.”
In response to these incidents, security around Salman Khan and his family has been significantly tightened.
