Following its worldwide debut earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G debuted in India on October 18. This mid-range smartphone, priced at Rs 18,999, comes with six years of software support. The Galaxy A16 5G in India is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, however, the worldwide variant is powered by Exynos chipset. It is available in gold, light green, and blue-black colours.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is available on the Samsung India website, e-commerce sites Amazon and Flipkart, and select retail outlets.
In terms of initial deals, users who buy the Galaxy A16 5G will get up to Rs 1,000 in cashback from Axis and SBI credit cards.
Samsung claims that the Galaxy A16 5G is the thinnest mid-range handset in the Galaxy A-series, with a thickness of 7.9mm. The smartphone has a glass back panel finish and the Key Island frame design, with the side-mounted buttons located on a slightly elevated frame piece. Additionally, the Galaxy A16 has an IP54 rating for dust and water protection.
The gadget features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. For photography, the smartphone has a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The front camera is a 13-megapixel sensor enclosed in a teardrop shape.
Samsung offers six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy A16. It also has Samsung Knox Security, which includes Auto Blocker, Secure Folder, Private Share, and Pin App, and is powered by a special Knox Vault chipset. The Galaxy A16 5G supports NFC (Near Field Communication), which enables features such as Tap and Pay with Samsung Wallet.
