After the tragic murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique, a close associate of Salman Khan, the Maharashtra government has enhanced security for the Bollywood superstar, providing him with Y-plus security. Baba Siddique was killed on October 12 in Mumbai, reportedly by three members linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The increased security is a precaution due to fears that Salman could also be targeted by the same gang.
In a recent interview to an entertainment portal, Salman Khan’s close friend Vindu Dara Singh expressed his concerns over the ongoing unsettling events in the industry. He said, “You have to understand. A different type of law is going on. This is very funny because there is a court and everything. No one knows the truth, and nothing has been proven yet. So it is really shocking and unbelievable what is happening. I hope and pray that better sense prevails and Salman ko kuch na ho (nothing happens to Salman).”
A chilling plot to assassinate Salman Khan has come to light. According to a chargesheet filed by the Navi Mumbai Police, an Rs 25 lakh contract had been placed for an attempt on Salman’s life near his Panvel farmhouse. The conspiracy, allegedly connected to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, spanned from August 2023 to April 2024.
The gang had plans to acquire advanced weaponry, including AK-47s, M16 rifles, and Zigana pistols, the same type of firearms used in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. The decision to obtain such heavy weaponry was driven by the heightened security measures protecting Salman, such as his use of a bulletproof vehicle.
One of the conspirators, Sukha, was arrested in Haryana earlier this week. Sukha had been in contact with an arms dealer and had tasked Ajay Kashyap with executing the assassination attempt on Salman Khan, according to reports from a leading publication. The plot, however, was foiled thanks to timely police intervention.
With Salman Khan’s security now significantly increased, his fans and colleagues remain hopeful that these preventive measures will keep him safe from further threats.
