Shraddha Kapoor recently broke her silence on the success of Stree 2 and addressed the ongoing debate over who contributed more to the film’s success. In an interview, Shraddha recalled her excitement when she first heard the script for Stree (2018). “I hadn’t come across a script like that before. It was based on an urban legend, and I literally fell off the sofa while listening to it,” she said, expressing her enthusiasm for the film’s unique concept and humor.
Shraddha credited the entire team behind Stree 2 for maintaining the essence of the original while creating a worthy sequel. “Hats off to the director, writer, and producer for cracking a sequel. It’s important not to make a sequel just for the sake of it — you need substance,” she explained. Shraddha emphasized that the team effort made Stree 2 a cinematic success, praising the script, dialogues, and performances of her co-stars Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, and others.
When asked about Stree 2’s impact in a male-dominated industry, Shraddha pointed out that success depends on the quality of the film. “A good film always works.
