Ajay Devgn Reveals He Lost His Vision Due To Injury During Singham Again Shooting

Appearing as special guests on Bigg Boss 18, actor Ajay Devgn and filmmaker Rohit Shetty opened up about the challenges of shooting high-intensity action scenes. Ajay, dressed in a black shirt under a leather jacket, dark trousers, and sunglasses, spoke candidly with host Salman Khan about an eye injury he sustained while filming Singham Again.

During their conversation, Salman brought up the injury, asking Ajay if it happened on Singham Again’s set. Rohit Shetty confirmed, explaining that a mistimed action scene led to Ajay being hit directly in the eye with a stick. Recounting the incident, Salman shared, “Ajay showed me a shot. There was a mistiming, and a person came to beat him with a stick, and its timing went off. So it straight hit him in the eye.”

Ajay revealed that the injury temporarily affected his vision. “Do-teen mahine toh vision chali gayi thi (I even lost my vision for two-three months). I went through a little surgery also,” he said. Salman acknowledged the risks of performing action scenes, adding, “Action karoge toh ye sab hota rehta hai (When one does action scenes, such things happen).”

Ajay noted that today’s technology, including CGI and cables, has made action scenes safer for actors. Reflecting on the past, he said, “Abhi toh phirbhi kaafi asaan hogaya hai aajkal k ladko k liye (Nowadays, it’s easier for actors).” Ajay and Rohit agreed that the approach to action sequences has evolved significantly, making it less hazardous compared to earlier days when actors performed stunts without the advanced safety measures available now.

Thank God, Ajay Devgn is fine now.
