During their meeting, Shah Rukh playfully highlighted the lost opportunity by saying, “Come, I’ll show you some edits of the film you declined.” Surprised, Ameesha asked which film he was talking about, to which Shah Rukh pointed to the screen and replied, “This.” The role, which ultimately went to Rani Mukerji, became a career highlight for her, earning critical acclaim and solidifying her position as a leading actress.
