Last month, veteran actor-turned-politician Govinda, 60, was hospitalized after a mishap at home involving his licensed gun. The incident occurred when the gun accidentally discharged as he dropped it while placing it in an almirah. Following several days of treatment at CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai, Govinda has since been discharged and is now recovering.
Recently, Sunita Ahuja, Govinda’s wife, shared an update about his condition. While dressed in a stunning black, heavily embellished sharara set, she and their daughter, Tina, who wore a pink and grey sequinned ombre saree, were seen attending a gathering. A video circulating on social media captured a moment when a paparazzo inquired about Govinda’s health.
Sunita responded reassuringly: “Sir ekdam thik hai. Unko rest karne bola hai isliye iss saal Diwali wo nahi mana rahe. Toh sirf main bacchon ke saath Diwali mana rahi hun” (Sir is doing good. He has been advised to take rest that’s why he isn’t celebrating Diwali this year. I am celebrating Diwali with our kids). Before entering the building, both Sunita and Tina wished the assembled paparazzi a happy Diwali.
Govinda’s fans and well-wishers are undoubtedly relieved by the positive news and continue to extend their support as he focuses on regaining full health.
