Director Prashanth Neel recently apologized to actor Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani for the scheduling conflict between Prabhas’ Salaar and Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki.
In an interview, Prashanth Neel explained that the timing decision for Salaar was influenced by astrological recommendations. Despite Dunki securing the Christmas 2023 release date well in advance, Salaar was set to premiere on the same day due to these unforeseen circumstances.
Prashanth acknowledged the unintended clash and expressed regret for the inconvenience. “That was the only date we had,” Neel stated. He added, “We apologize to the team of Dunki. They announced their release date a year ago, and it’s not ideal to put our film on the same date. Apologies from the whole team of Salaar to the team of Dunki.”
Both the movies were superhits on box-office despite releasing on the same date.
