Sanju Samson Six Hits A Young Girl On Face, Here’s What Happened Next

Sanju Samson created a historic moment on Friday, smashing his third T20I century of the year during India’s emphatic 135-run victory over South Africa in the final T20I in Johannesburg. With this win, India secured the four-match series 3-1. Sanju also became the first player in T20I history to hit three centuries in a calendar year. Globally, he joins England’s Phil Salt as only the second batter to score two centuries in a T20I series.

Sanju teamed up with Tilak Varma for a remarkable unbeaten 210-run stand for the second wicket. Together, they launched a six-hitting blitz, smashing 19 maximums in total. Tilak led with 10 sixes, while Sanju followed closely with nine during his scintillating knock.

One of Sanju Samson sixes resulted in an unfortunate incident at the Wanderers Stadium. On the second ball of the 10th over, he slog-swept Tristian Stubbs for a six that cleared the ropes but ricocheted off the stadium railing, striking a young girl in the stands. The impact left her in tears, and a fellow spectator applied an ice pack to her cheek. Noticing the incident, Sanju immediately raised his hand to apologize to the injured fan.

Here is the video:

Sanju’s unbeaten century followed his 107-run knock in the series opener in Durban, solidifying his position as one of India’s most explosive T20I players. This match also made history as the first instance where two players scored centuries in the same innings in a T20I clash between full ICC members.
