Allu Arjun Arrested: The actor was detained on Friday in connection with the tragic stampede at the Sandhya Theatre during the Pushpa 2 premiere on December 4. The incident resulted in the death of 35-year-old Revathi, with her son still receiving medical treatment. The police, led by the assistant commissioner, arrived at Allu Arjun’s residence to take him into custody while his family was present.
The authorities took him to their van before bringing him to the police station. The incident occurred on December 4, when Allu Arjun’s presence at the theatre, followed by his security staff, triggered an unmanageable rush of people seeking to enter the arena, resulting in a stampede.
“The theatre management did not make any additional provisions regarding security to manage the crowd, nor was there any separate entry or exit for the actor’s team though the theatre management had information about their arrival,” according to a police statement.

In connection with this event, officials detained three people, including the theatre’s co-partner, partner.
The police had filed a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management at the Chikkadpally police station under sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in response to the deceased woman’s family’s complaint. While the situation was indeed tragic, it remains unclear whether Allu Arjun himself was directly at fault, as the responsibility for crowd control falls not just on the actor but also on the security team and the theatre management
In addition, Arjun had pleaded to have the FIR dismissed and asked that all pending actions—including arrest—be halted.
