Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has once again shared his thoughts on his ambitious dream project, Mahabharata. In a recent interview with BBC News, Aamir described the venture as “scary,” highlighting the enormous responsibility and emotional connection Indians have with the epic.
Calling the project his “dream,” Aamir Khan expressed both excitement and caution, “Well, that’s my dream project and it’s a very scary project. So huge and I am scared of getting it wrong. It’s a huge responsibility because as Indians, it’s something so close to us, it’s in our blood. So I want to get it right. I want to make every Indian proud. I also want to show the world what India has.”
Aamir’s statement reflects his deep understanding of the cultural and historical significance of the Mahabharata. He added that while he isn’t sure if the project will materialize, he is keen to work toward it.
Reports about Aamir’s involvement in the Mahabharata first surfaced in 2018, when writer Anjum Rajabali revealed that the actor was actively working on the script. The proposed budget of Rs 1000 crore has already set expectations for the project to be one of the most monumental films in Indian cinema.
